A quick guide to what we consider to be the best places to visit on a sightseeing tour in Ireland
Number 1 – Lakes of Killarney
Killarney is renowned for it’s beautiful scenery and famed for the local hospitality. There are so many beautiful places to go sightseeing but here are our favourites: Lady’s View, named after Queen Victoria’s ladies-in-waiting during a visit in 1861; Torc Falls, an 18 meter waterfall with mesmerising panoramic views from the top; Muckross House & Gardens, a magnificent Victorian mansion forming the centre-piece of the Killarney National Park; Ross Castle, a 15th century stronghold, origionally the home and headquarters of the O’Donoghue Ross Chieftains.
In the first of two articles, we would like to show you whats on offer at the south-west of Ireland’s golf courses and why we think you will love visiting them as much as we do.

We were collected at our luxury lodgings in Adare Manor, a beautiful 19th century chateau like Manor on the banks of the river Maigue in County Limerick’s gorgeous Golden Vale heartland. Yesterday was our arrival day in Ireland, landing as we did at Shannon, so having had a gentle day yesterday we were ready for the full treatment today. We were scheduled to tour Co Clare, but our driver, Patrick (by name and by Saintly nature) advised that we might visit Co. Cork instead where better weather conditions were prevailing. We put our faith in him which was easy to do and after a delicious and hearty breakfast we boarded the mini-van and headed for Cork.
