Renowned for its beauty and famed for the splendor of its scenery, Killarney is one of the world’s best-loved tourist spots. Over the last few days, we had the pleasure of driving Tom and Martha around Ireland on their honeymoon and this day was their highlight of the trip. The tranquility and majestic setting have been the inspiration of poets and painters for many centuries and they soon discovered why. From the locals warm welcome to the spectacular views, Killarney definitely surpassed their dreams. We visited every nook and cranny, met with the locals and even tried a Guinness. Our tour included Ross Castle – Muckross House and Gardens, Torc Waterfall and Ladies View. It also took in the best of Killarney National Park and the famous Lakes Of Killarney.
After our long day, we then headed for our hotel, The Europe and what a treat it was. This is one of the most luxurious 5 Star hotels in the whole of Ireland. The staff here were just out of this world. They immediately made friends with us and from then on catered to our every need. We had booked Martha in for some treatments in their wonderful spa and from what we heard from her afterwards she definitely felt like a queen.
The Panorama Restaurant in The Europe Hotel was their final reservation of the day.
The restaurant has one of the most enviable views in Ireland with vistas of the Lakes of Killarney, mountains and gardens stretching before you. This Killarney hotels restaurant provides guests with fine dining at its best, highlighting Irish and international cuisine. A perfect end to a perfect day :-)
