1 Dingle – A beautiful fishing village where the harbour fleet supplies fresh fish daily to towns for mile around. With Mount Brandon behind it and the harbour in front of it, the Dingle Peninsula is just a feast for the eyes and perhaps what we would all call quintessentially Irish. Close to so many other places of distinction such as Killarney, Slea Head and Kenmare. You can visit the breath taking beach at Dunquinn, setting for the famous film ‘Ryan’s daughter.’ Simply a ‘must’ for any family tour of Ireland.

2 Kinsale – Not too far from Cork City lies the old heritage town of Kinsale. Once it owed its fortunes to fishing, nowadays its one of Ireland’s culinary hotspots. A favourite haunt of ours is Fishy Fishy! With narrow and winding streets full of craft shops, pubs cafes, and restaurants, you can while away the hours. Kinsale is of course home to Old Head Kinsale Golf Club, which we believe is Ireland’s most iconic golf links experience, it truly is a unique to the world gem. 3 Ballyvaughan – This coastal village has an image that matches every postcard of Ireland. With bright walls set against an Atlantic backdrop, we love dropping by here with our guests. This place is like an old friend who is always happy to see you, and with a welcome to beat them all. A seafood lunch here on a fine day, a sing-song in the afternoon and a few tall tales from the locals puts you in fine form indeed for a visit to the nearby Burren – a geologically unique limestone plateau that might make you think your on some other planet! We often include a visit to nearby Neolithic Dolmen graves when we visit Ballyvaughan.

4 Leenane – Up around Connemara, the lush green landscape has a sort of golden hue to it, you might remember it from the film ‘The Field’ starring Richard Harris who is sadly no longer with us. This area is a myriad of lakes and inlets, typical of millennia of Atlantic coastal erosion. Very close by is Cong where Ashford Castle offers one of the finest Irish Castle 5 star experiences you will find. The terrain around this part of Ireland is such that this area is often best explored on a chauffeur tours Ireland service with a private driver.
5 Adare – With not one, not two but three Friaries, Adare may be small in size but big on historical stature.
