Day 1 – Welcome to Ireland

Your Private Driver Tour of Ireland begins with a drive to your hotel of choice. After check-in, the real magic of Ireland begins with a drive to one of Irelands most magical castles in Clare, Bunratty Castle & Folk Park.
Bunratty Castle & Folk Park
Bunratty Castle & Folk Park is synonymous with extraordinary historical preservation & is one of Ireland most sought after sightseeing destinations. This fascinating tour is one of the greatest examples of 15th century medieval castle life. Built in 1425, it operated as a Viking trading camp before being restored to its prior grandeur in 1954.
It is garnished in 15th & 16th century furnishings, tapestries & paintings which exquisitely illustrate those times. The castle offers a traditional castle banquet three times a day that includes traditional 15th century foods that are eaten by hand.
The Folk Park is a magical & captivating 26 acre, 30 building village that will carry you on a 19th century, beguiling excursion amidst farmhouses, a school & the illustrious McNamara’s pub. The village reconstructs dwellings in an amazing way as they would have appeared at the time.
You will also have the opportunity to shop at the Woollen Mills which produces authentic Irish textiles such as linens, lace & crystal. Once shopping is complete your private chauffeur will drive you to your hotel to relax for the evening

Day 2 – Cliffs of Moher & The Burren
After breakfast, your personal driver will take you to the breath-taking Cliffs of Moher & the Burren. Climbing from the sea to a height of 214 meters & spanning 5 miles of awe-inspiring walks that will leave your holiday album filled with magnificent images. There are plenty of souvenir & craft shops in which to do some shopping too.
You will then travel along the renowned Galway Bay into the typically Irish town of Ballyvaughan for a spot of lunch. The next stop is the Burren region, a limestone mesa of huge geological and archaeological significance & is the residence of numerous Irish ancient monuments. Of particular interest is the Birds of Prey at Aillwee Caves, where for 50 minutes, you will see Falcons, Eagles, Owls & Hawks.
This is followed by the Dolmen Graves, Neolithic graves characteristic of County Clare, which extend to 3600 B.C. You will then be driven amid the furrowed Clare countryside to your accommodation to relax for the evening.

Day 3 – Killarney
You will set out for the Kingdom of Ireland, Killarney which offers some magnificent sightseeing gems like Lady’s View. It was named after Queen Victoria’s Ladies-in waiting, in the course of the Queen’s visit in 1861. The breath-taking view takes in the McGillycuddy Reeks & the splendid Purple Mountain Range. Nearby, the 18-meter-high Torc Falls boasts some of the countries outstanding panoramic views.
Equally, Muckross House & Gardens, a Victorian mansion, establishes the kernel of Killarney National Park. The final stop in Killarney is Ross Castle, a resplendent 15th century fortress owned by the O’Donoughue Ross Chieftains.
You will then be taken a short drive to the Kissane Sheep farm, where you can view sheep shearing and sheep dog trials which are very entertaining. You can peruse the girt shop for vacation gifts too. Your personal chauffeur will then take you back to your hotel in Killarney to relax for the evening.

Day 4 – The Dingle Peninsula & Slea Head
You will be brought in your private transport on a scenic & mesmerizing journey through the Connor’s Pass Mountains to the spectacular views of Tralee from the quaint village of Dingle. Dingle Harbor has some of the most salient views in Ireland and you must take a boat journey to truly appreciate them. You may even meet Dingle Harbors’ renowned 20-year resident, Fungi the dolphin.
The Journey continues on to the striking Slea Head, which has one of the most sought after film locations, Dunquinn Beach. The movie buffs among us will be able to see where the famous Ryan’s Daughter was filmed.
The tour resumes and takes you to the 7th or 8th century Dunbeg fort, which is the residence of the remarkable Bee Hive Huts. Gallarus Oratory is your next stop & is renowned as one of the first churches in Ireland. The tour ends with a drive to Killarney via Inch beach & back to your hotel for the evening to relax.

Day 5 – The Gap of Dunloe
Today brings you to The Gap of Dunloe! You will be taken on a short drive to the timeless Kate Kearney’s Cottage where you can take a ride on an Irish Jaunting Car (Horse & Carriage). After that, a tour through the superb mountains, mystical lakes & valleys which abound County Kerry will produce impressive panoramic scenery in which to walk and take photographs. At the summit of the mountain, a light lunch is in order at Lord Mount Brandon’s Cottage.
After lunch, a boat ride in a Fisherman’s boat will lead you through the 3 Lakes of Killarney to Ross House. After a perusal of the Town of Killarney, your private chauffeur will drive you back to your hotel to relax for the evening.

Day 6 – Blarney Stone & Jameson Whiskey Distillery
The Blarney Stone & the Blarney Woollen Mills is probably going to be a most memorable day. Kissing the Blarney Stone & bestowing the gift of eloquence is a pilgrimage taken by many throughout the world; it is as fun as it is fascinating. The Blarney Stone is set in the wall below the battlements and to kiss it, one must lean backwards (holding on to an iron railing) from the parapet walk. In close proximity to the stone is Blarney Castle which is encircled by magnificent grounds & gardens to explore. Next door, the Blarney Woollen Mills stock authentic Irish linens, lace & Waterford Crystal (Duty Free prices). They will even ship them directly to your house !!!
The Next stop is the Jameson Whiskey Distillery in Middleton where they make the finest whiskey in the world. If time allows, you can visit the heritage town of Cobh, the last port of call for the Titanic before that deadly voyage. After a tour of the Titanic Museum, your private chauffeur will drive you back to Adare for an evening meal and then to your hotel to relax for the evening.

Day 7 – Adare & Limerick City
Today brings you to what is described globally as the most quaint village in Ireland, Adare!! Adare Village has picture postcard streets lined with characteristic thatched roofed cottages and aromatic floral garden spectacles. It has some of the best artisanian restaurants and pubs with Irish music flowing out the door and dotted with characters and craic (Irish for banter and fun). The village is only a stones throw from the famous Adare Manor. There are a plethora of traditional Irish craft shops and a heritage center which delineates the history of this significant little village.
Also on the agenda for today is a visit to the medieval Limerick City. Established in 922 & founded by the Normans, Limerick is renowned as the Lady City or Treaty City. It is Ireland’s sporting headquarters and was delegated City of Culture in 2014.
One of Limerick’s most magnificent medieval castle is King John’s Castle. It is one of the most fun, family friendly castles in Ireland as it accurately displays Norman soldier’s life through re-enactments from fully costumed guides. You can also visit the 12th century St Mary’s Cathedral & the Hunt Museum, which lodges a comprehensive private compilation of artefacts delegated to the state.
Then we proceed to the Treaty Stone, Limericks celebrated landmark from the Williamite sieges in the early 1690’s which led to the signing of the Treaty of Limerick.
Your private driver will then escort you to Adare where we can easily arrange a round of golf at Adare Manor; the best parkland course in Ireland designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior. It boasts some remarkable river views and a first class restaurant, The Oak Room. Your private chauffeur will then drive you back to your hotel to relax for the evening.

Day 8 – Departure
Sadly today we bid you, our guests, farewell and after breakfast your private driver will escort you to Shannon Airport in plenty of time for check-in & duty free shopping.
